Fontana di Trevi is a masterpiece

December 14th, 2009

For those who don’t know what Fontana di Trevi is, let me tell them that it is the most famous fountain in Rome, known for the legend that by throwing a coin into the water, you will come back there. The fountain has been shot in many movies till date and it is truly an ancient masterpiece. Internet cafes are side-by-side and you can select from trendy bars and traditional chocolate shops. The streets close to the river and south of Viale are much quieter and there are several modest restaurants where you can enjoy a peaceful meal at an outdoors table. There are lovely lanes to walk around, and it’s not much difficult to step off the main routes and flee from the masses. Along with the sporadic touch of genuine local color, there are ample of businesses meant for the large foreign population, mainly American and French. I had gone to Italy a couple of weeks back and had all this experience there. Ah! What a trip it was. I can never forget it. I am thankful to the site that provoked me to visit there. It was coincidentally found by me online when I was surfing for information on Italy. But I liked it. Thanks again.
